The Jujutsu Kaisen manga has also surpassed 100 million copies in circulation since its debut in March 2018. In Japan, it was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. VIZ Media licensed it in English, and the manga is also available on the MANGA Plus platform. The plot follows Yuji Itadori, a high schooler who accidentally discovers a hidden world of jujutsu sorcerers who fight evil curses. VIZ Media also licensed the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 prequel, set a few years before the events of the main manga.

An anime adaptation by studio MAPPA premiered in the Fall 2019 anime season. It was followed by a prequel movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, in 2021 and the second season of the TV anime in 2023. The second season covered Hidden Inventory / Premature Death and Shibuya Incident arcs. Hidden Inventory / Premature Death will also be a focus of the upcoming recap movie. A sequel covering the Culling Game arc is currently in the works.
