Maho Tsukai ni Narenakatta Onna no Ko no Hanashi (The Stories of Girls Who Couldn’t Be Magicians) has revealed a new character trailer, introducing the siblings Asuka and Kyo Kurumaru. The anime will premiere on October 4, with J.C. Staff animating.
Asuka is voiced by Yukiya Hayashi, while her brother Kyo is voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi. You can check out their character trailer below.

The opening theme song for the anime is “Collage” by Puffy, while Halca performs the ending theme song “Shunkan Saidai Fusoku.” The main staff for the anime Takashi Watanabe as the chief director, Masato Matsune as the director, Hiroko Kanasugi in charge of the series composition, Mai Matsuura as the character designer, and Youko Shimomura as the music composer.
The anime is based on Yuzuki Akasaka’s webnovel, which was published by Everystar from March 2018 to September 2019. It was later submitted to Project Anima, a collaboration between DeNA, Sotsu, and Bunka Housou (JOQR) which accepted stories from the general public for potential anime adaptations. The series won in the “Another World/Fantasy” category and got its anime adaptation. You can also watch the recently revealed second main trailer below.
The story is centered on girls attending the Redrun Magic School, but unable to enroll in its high school class dedicated to mages. With a mysterious new homeroom teachers, they will still aim to realize their dreams from the general course.
